India-Armenia Business Forum on Pharmaceuticals

Karen Mkrchyan, the Executive Director of the Armenia-India Business Council (AIBC) participated in the India-Armenia Business Forum on Pharmaceuticals, event organized by the Embassy of India in Armenia in collaboration with Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) and supported by the Armenia chapter of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). The forum brought together key stakeholders from both countries to discuss new opportunities in pharmaceutical trade and cooperation.

The event featured insightful speeches by H.E. Nilakshi Saha Sinha, Ambassador of India to Armenia, Lena Nanushyan, the Deputy Minister of Health of Armenia, representatives from Pharmexcil, the Deputy Director of the Scientific Center of Drug and Medical Technology Expertise of Armenia, and various Armenian and Indian pharmaceutical companies. The discussions highlighted India’s remarkable achievements in becoming a global leader in pharmaceutical production and export, supplying high-quality and affordable medicines to the world. The regulatory framework and registration procedures for pharmaceuticals in Armenia were also a key focus, helping Indian companies understand the local market landscape and navigate potential business opportunities.

With India’s growing presence in the global pharmaceutical industry and Armenia’s interest in expanding its healthcare sector, this forum served as a vital platform for fostering collaboration, encouraging investment, and strengthening bilateral trade relations.

AIBC remains committed to supporting businesses in both countries, facilitating connections, and promoting industry linkages to drive economic growth.

Looking forward to continued engagements that enhance Indo-Armenian business cooperation and open new doors for strategic partnerships.
