AIBC and ICIB Sign MoU to Strengthen Armenia-India Trade and Investment Cooperation

The Armenia-India Business Council (AIBC) and the Indian Chamber of International Business (ICIB) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the sidelines of the ET NOW Global Business Summit 2025 in New Delhi. The agreement was signed by Mr. Karen Mkrtchyan, Executive Director of AIBC and Rtn. Manpreet Singh, President of ICIB.

The MoU represents a significant step towards strengthening bilateral trade and investment relations between Armenia and India, fostering deeper economic collaboration across key industries. The agreement aims to facilitate business connections, promote trade delegations, and create investment opportunities, enabling enterprises from both countries to explore new markets and expand their operations.

Through this partnership, AIBC and ICIB will work together to enhance cooperation in pharmaceuticals, agriculture, textiles, IT, tourism, infrastructure, renewable energy, and manufacturing. The MoU also recognizes the growing importance of defense collaboration and skill development, underscoring Armenia and India’s shared commitment to knowledge exchange and economic progress. Additionally, connectivity enhancement remains a priority, particularly through the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) and the potential introduction of direct flights between Armenia and India, which could significantly boost trade, tourism, and business interactions.

This agreement reinforces AIBC’s mission to create a dynamic platform for businesses and investors from both nations, offering support in market entry strategies, trade facilitation, and investment matchmaking. By strengthening institutional ties and fostering direct engagement between Armenian and Indian enterprises, AIBC and ICIB are paving the way for a more robust and mutually beneficial economic partnership. This MoU is not just a formal document—it is a commitment to long-term collaboration, economic growth, and shared prosperity.
