The Armenia-India Business Council expresses its deepest condolences and unwavering solidarity with the people of India following the heinous terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, on April 22, 2025. The deliberate targeting of civilians—many of them tourists—was an appalling act of violence that has shaken the conscience of the international community. We mourn the loss of 26 innocent lives and stand with the families and loved ones of the victims in their grief.
This tragedy, and the subsequent escalation of hostilities along the India-Pakistan border, is a stark reminder of the persistent threat posed by cross-border terrorism and the urgent need for a united global front against extremism in all its forms. The Armenia-India Business Council reaffirms its support for India’s right to defend its people, uphold national sovereignty, and safeguard peace and security in the region.
As a body dedicated to fostering strong economic and people-to-people ties between Armenia and India, we are particularly mindful of the impact such incidents have on the business community. We commend the resilience and resolve shown by our Indian partners and remain fully committed to standing by them during this challenging time.
