AIBC Explores Strategic Collaboration with MyLer Resort in Armenia

On June 25, 2025, a high-level meeting took place between representatives of the Armenia-India Business Council (AIBC) — Mr. Rananjay Anand, Co-Founder and Secretary General, and Mr. Karen Mkrtchyan, Executive Director — and the leadership of MyLer Resort in Armenia. The discussions were held at the resort’s headquarters with Mr. Onik Arakelian, Business Development Director, and Mr. Arman Maloian, Project Manager. The meeting focused on unlocking collaboration opportunities across investment, tourism, hospitality, real estate development, and entertainment infrastructure.

This interaction marks the beginning of a strategic dialogue aimed at connecting Armenia’s most ambitious mountain development project with India’s dynamic business and travel sectors. As Armenia emerges as a regional hub for sustainable tourism, MyLer Resort stands out as a flagship project leading this transformation.

About MyLer Resort: Armenia’s Premier Four-Season Mountain Destination

Located in Armenia’s Aragatsotn region, just a one-hour drive from Yerevan and Zvartnots International Airport, MyLer Resort is positioned to redefine the standards of mountain tourism in the region. Master-planned by Canada’s globally recognized mountain resort design firm Ecosign, and featuring high-capacity gondolas and chairlifts from Austrian manufacturer Doppelmayr, MyLer has already begun attracting global attention.

As of June 2025, MyLer offers more than 21 kilometers of operational ski slopes, with a long-term expansion blueprint targeting 102 kilometers and 17 ski lifts. The resort’s lift infrastructure is among the most modern in the region, capable of transporting over 2,400 visitors per hour. Visitors enjoy seamless access to ski-in/ski-out accommodations, upscale restaurants, a professional ski school, and a variety of leisure offerings year-round.

Looking ahead, the resort plans to introduce Olympic-standard ice-skating facilities, a network of luxury hotels, and a wide array of adventure and wellness activities that span all four seasons. MyLer also received Free Economic Zone (FEZ) status in 2024–2025, granting investors significant tax exemptions and business-friendly regulatory incentives. With total projected investments exceeding €250 million and several thousand jobs anticipated, MyLer is well on track to become a key economic driver in Armenia’s tourism and real estate sectors.

Opening the Door for Indian Business Participation

During the meeting, AIBC and MyLer Resort discussed multiple pathways for Indian businesses and entrepreneurs to engage with the project. Given India’s fast-growing outbound tourism market, rising interest in high-altitude destinations, and expanding international investment appetite, a partnership with MyLer offers compelling strategic alignment.

The resort presents attractive opportunities for Indian real estate developers looking to enter international hospitality ventures, for tour operators aiming to curate unique Armenia-based travel experiences, and for wellness, leisure, and entertainment companies seeking franchise or licensing avenues in emerging markets. Both institutional and private investors can benefit from early-stage involvement in a destination poised for exponential growth.

Affordability, year-round accessibility, and a scalable vision make MyLer particularly appealing for Indian stakeholders eager to diversify their international presence.

Next Steps in AIBC–MyLer Engagement

AIBC will soon share a detailed framework outlining engagement options for Indian partners. This will include investment channels, tourism collaboration models, and dedicated B2B matchmaking opportunities. The Council is committed to serving as a facilitator between Indian business actors and Armenian counterparts in order to realize mutual growth and cooperation.

Indian companies, tourism agencies, and investors who are interested in exploring opportunities with MyLer Resort are encouraged to get in touch with AIBC directly for consultations and briefing materials.

This new initiative between AIBC and MyLer Resort represents more than a business partnership — it is a step toward building robust cross-border linkages between two ancient civilizations with shared aspirations for innovation and sustainable development.

As MyLer rises to become the region’s premier alpine resort, it welcomes Indian collaboration in shaping a tourism ecosystem that is world-class, environmentally conscious, and economically vibrant.
